Moitié Studio’s sun illuminates Rinascente

Moitié Studio designs the first MOSSO sunwear pop-up store for the Rinascente in Rome’s Piazza Fiume, dedicated to the SS 2024 collection.
For this first association with the brand by Salustià Alvarez Duran and Jay Ceazar Sarmiento, the interior design duo, composed of Francesco Gennaro and Giorgia Rossi, conceived an installation conceived as a Mediterranean island irradiated by sunlight, to stand out inside the Rinascente spaces.

Visible to the public from 14th May, the space reflects the playful and Mediterranean spirit of MOSSO sunwear, enhancing the garments in the collection that combines the classic, clean-cut lines of swimwear with Hawaiian-inspired shirts from the 1960s and 1970s and hats to complete a total look.
The effervescence and joy of summer colour the pop-up corner in yellow, connoting it with the MOSSO sunwear colour scheme.
Bordering the display area is an iconic custom-made hanger, with a clear reference to stylised sea waves.
Finally, underlining the simplicity and love of nature, chipboard volumes, enlivened by the monochrome yellow hue, complete the display area.

After an initial chat with Salustià and Jay, we decided to create a pop-up store designed as a true corner of summer, iconic and recognisable. In fact, we tried to translate the brand’s identifying codes into the interior design project, starting from the common inspiration of childhood summer holidays“, explain the two souls of Moitié Studio. “To do this, we worked on three elements: colour, shapes and materials“.

The MOSSO sunwear pop-up store will be active in Rinascente in Rome via Fiume from 14th May to 4th June, followed by Florence from 5th to 17th June. From 11th to 14th June they will also be present at Pitti Uomo at Sala delle Nazioni.
