Play of spaces on the Riviera of the Palms, a project with FritsJurgens

The Riviera delle Palme comes into view from San Benedetto del Tronto (PE), an ancient fishing village turned into a renowned seaside resort. Architect Andrea Eusebi recently designed a special flat on the fourth floor of a luxurious residential building.
How to design this flat on the Riviera delle Palme,” says Architect Andrea Eusebi, “was clear to me right from the start. The first idea was to create a concrete floor with no interruption between inside and outside. In this way, the large balcony was perfectly integrated into an extraordinarily harmonious whole. In order to create a contrast with the smooth surface of the concrete, I decided to realise a ceiling cadenced by thin wooden beams, all completed by a wall and a glass parapet that allow one to enjoy, both from the living area and from the kitchen, a beautiful view of the Riviera delle Palme,” the architect concludes.

Another protagonist of Eusebi’s intervention is the choice of three splendid pivot doors – moved with FritsJurgens systems – placed next to each other to create a real mobile wall. The son of a carpenter, Andrea Eusebi personally supervised the design and realisation process from the first sketch to the final result.

The owners wanted to include a separate room in the project that could be used as an office or as a room for any new arrivals in the family. To meet this need, Andrea Eusebi came up with the idea of creating a mobile wall with three beautiful pivot doors finished with a walnut veneer, each 2.70 metres high and 1.20 metres wide, positioned next to each other and equipped with FritsJurgens’ futuristic System M pivot hinges, which helped to give the project a strong, yet discreet and refined impact.
In the kitchen, a large pantry cupboard – with additional storage space in the doors – was placed in burnished steel, whose dark tones perfectly match the flat’s wooden ceiling. A combination of wood and steel that recurs throughout the home, like a sort of fil rouge. The kitchen is a perfect example of this, where the polished surface of the kitchen top and the wooden doors of the base units that act as a counterpoint immediately capture the attention of those who enter the room, integrating perfectly with the rest of the interior, where, once again, the intelligent use of space, the careful choice of materials and the functionality of all the accessories highlight the uniqueness and beauty of this project.
