BAU 2023, the meeting place for the construction industry

BAU is the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems and returns April 17-22 in Munich, offering an important networking opportunity among the industry’s key players.
Indeed, the event gives the opportunity to connect all the major players in the construction world: designers, architects, brokers, retailers and investors, offering inspiration, practical and innovative advice, and sustainable solutions in an international environment.

For this edition, BAU has defined 5 key themes that will be declined during the event and within the collateral program: the challenges of climate change, digital transformation, homes of the future, resources and recycling, and modular and serial prefabricated construction. Exhibiting companies at BAU 2023 will present innovative solutions in these areas, while architects and designers will present examples of contemporary projects during forums and conferences. The six-day event will offer visitors company presentations, competitions, special reviews and an area entirely dedicated to start-ups. For the first time, it will be possible to personally visit prototypes of modular constructions in the dedicated area in the Atrium area of the fair.
Another important novelty introduced for this edition will be the possibility to purchase a climate-friendly entrance ticket, the GoGreen ticket. Thanks to this initiative, CO₂ emissions related to one’s visit will be offset by Bau’s partner in myclimate climate protection projects. This means that visitors will be able to contribute activate by supporting sustainability projects sponsored by the organizing body: for example, biogas plants for households or the gradual replacement of fossil-derived energy.
