The DAAA Haus Studio has a new location at 23 Corso Monforte, in the heart of Milan’s street of light. The new thematic space has the name CARBON, which stands for ‘conscious architecture using recycled materials, with individual natural elements decorated‘.
CARBON is a bold colour – pantone carbon black RAL9920 – and manifests itself in the design by showing a compact urban space that suits custom-made furniture and handcrafted elements made of recycled and eco-friendly materials, in harmony with more technical and luxury pieces.
Conscious architecture using recycled materials, CARBON defines the method that DAAA Haus uses for each project both architecturally and in the interior.
The idea is to keep the carbon footprint and waste to an absolute minimum, from the materials and finishes used in production, to the construction and transportation energy required to bring an object to market. The goal of DAAA Haus is to be as sustainable as possible in order to safeguard natural resources.
The new Milan studio is designed as a meeting place for companies in the sector that share an eco-sustainable production and philosophy. The partners selected for this new project are varied, each with their own peculiarities.
Among the initiatives that will be organised are ‘Carbon Friendly’ themed aperitifs in collaboration with important chefs, partners and catering specialists.
In addition, an important project conceived by the Studio’s founder, Keith Pillow, the Convergence carpet collection, which takes up the concept of ecology as a form of reclaiming craftsmanship, fits into this framework.
The precious tapestries have four shades and are made with slight imperfections in the structure, in order to best recreate the expressionist paintings of James Vella Clark, one of Malta’s leading artists.
