In 2026, Rimadesio celebrates seventy years of history and innovation by transforming the anniversary into a unique experience: BECOMING. The concept will accompany the companythroughout the year, weaving together design, art and architecture in an ongoing dialogue between memory and the future. BECOMING takes shape through various initiatives, from the evolution of the Ori chair, designed by Giuseppe Bavuso, to an installation curated by Juma and artwork created by Encor Studio, all on display during Milan Design Week 2026, right through to the opening of the new headquarters, the Rimadesio Campus in Giussano, designed by ACPV Architects.
The new Ori collection has been expanded with new materials, finishes and systems, confirming Rimadesio’s ability to combine style, technology and innovation. “The collaboration with Rimadesio is a journey built over time, founded on a shared vision of the project and a consistency of values. We have developed a language based on rigour, quality of materials and technological innovation,” explains Bavuso.
During Milan Design Week, the centrepiece of the experience is Palazzo Isimbardi, where the Juma studio has created the installation open to the public. “BECOMING recounts 70 years of Rimadesio, transforming the brand’s style and identity into a tangible experience,” says Paolo Mojoli. In the cloister, Aedes Memoriae comes to life – a work by David Houncheringer, co-founder of Encor Studio that explores glass, light and transparency as living materials. “We imagined a work to be experienced through sight and sound, where memory and time emerge as real materials,” explains David Houncheringer.
The journey also includes a presentation of the new Rimadesio Campus in Giussano, designed by ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. The result of the regeneration of an existing production complex, the campus integrates production, landscape and community, housing workspaces, exhibition areas and cultural venues. “The Campus is designed to evolve over time, just like the company itself,” say Citterio and Viel. With BECOMING, Rimadesio transforms its anniversary into an ongoing narrative, where art, design and architecture define an identity in constant flux.
