Following the success of the 2025 exhibition, which cemented PLATFORM’s role as a leading editorial and cultural platform for contemporary design, a new exhibition and publishing initiative is taking shape for Genoa Design Week 2026, scheduled for June 3–7, 2026.
The exhibition “Interior Architecture in Liguria” was conceived with the aim of showcasing and promoting interior design in Liguria through the work of designers from across Italy who have carried out significant projects within the region. A collective exploration that focuses on the dialogue between interior space, the Ligurian context, materials, light, and the culture of living. As in previous editions, the selected projects will be featured in both a publication and an exhibition, which will be held in Genoa. The exhibition will remain open to the public for the entire duration of Genoa Design Week 2026, from June 3 to 7.
The timing of the event during Design Week, combined with a structured communications campaign across media and digital channels, will offer the selected studios and partner companies broad and targeted visibility at both the national and international levels, helping to reinforce the narrative of Liguria as a contemporary hub for interior design. The official opening of the exhibition will take place in conjunction with the official opening of Genoa Design Week 2026 on June 3 and will remain on view until June 7, 2026. On June 4 and 5, the Platform Architecture Festival will take place, an event for in-depth discussion and exchange open to an audience of architects, during which the designers involved in the exhibition and publication will be invited to present their projects and share reflections on the theme of interior design as a tool for interpreting the Ligurian context. The days of meetings and in-depth discussions will take place during daytime hours from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and will include informal networking opportunities with the Sponsors, such as coffee breaks and on-site lunches, designed to foster dialogue, professional exchange, and the building of new relationships.
The designers’ contributions—talks, interviews, or speeches—will be recorded and shared via PLATFORM’s digital platforms. The publication *Interior Architecture in Liguria* will be officially presented at the exhibition’s opening.
Submitting an application for the project selection process is completely free and will remain open until April 10, 2026.
