The engineering and architecture company Mazzei Architects has recently signed two two-year framework agreements with the University of Parma for the assignment of engineering and architecture services.
The University, in order to assign professional technical services, has launched two tenders: the first one for design services, work supervision and accessory services for the definition of a 2-year framework agreement worth €5,000,000; the second one for services related to safety at construction sites as per Legislative Decree 81/2009, also for a 2-year period worth €1,000,000.
Mazzei Architects participated in both procedures and is the only economic operator to have entered the trio of winners in both tenders.
For the framework agreement for design, works supervision and ancillary services, the grouping includes, in addition to Mazzei Architects STUDIO PACI BETA of Pesaro (a consortium company arl, operating in the fields of civil engineering and architecture), IACOMUSSI PORRONE ENGINEERING srl of Turin (a company specialised in civil engineering works and infrastructures), REN Solution srl of Reggio Emilia (an engineering company specialised in plant design and expert in energy management), MORI MANTOVANI ASSOCIATI srl of Parma (a company operating in the fields of building design, topography and geology), Architect Maurizio Sabatino Pirocchi of Pineto (TE), an energy manager expert in environmental sustainability, and finally Architect Gianluca Vetruccio of Parma.
The framework agreement for security services instead sees an RTP composed of Mazzei Architects together with: B-PER ASSOCIATI of Turin (Bersani e Parrotta Associati, a firm specialising in Occupational Health and Safety Legislative Decree 81/08 and Fire Prevention) and Architect Gianluca Vetruccio.
The engineering and architecture services to which the contractors are called concern the building heritage of the city’s University: teaching buildings, student halls, office and residential centres, classrooms and laboratories, churches, and buildings of historical and artistic value.
The first assignments involving RTP Mazzei Architects have already arrived and range from the Coordination of Safety in the Execution Phase of the Seismic Improvement of the buildings of the Faculty of Earth Sciences, to the Works Management of the Fire Prevention Adaptation and Seismic Improvement of the buildings of the Faculty of Medicine in via Volturno, to the design of temporary classrooms that will host in rotation the teaching activities of some university faculties of the Parma Campus during the periods in which the buildings will be affected by the works.
