Within the vast park of CityLife Milan, one of Europe’s most iconic architectural landscapes, the Golden Goose Arena powered by Atlante – designed by Novembre Studio – opens to the public. The new intervention is set within a context shaped by the works of Mario Bellini, Zaha Hadid Architects, Studio Libeskind, Arata Isozaki & Associates, and Bjarke Ingels Group.
The building’s geometry directly responds to the curve of the adjacent CityWave, designed by BIG, establishing a mirrored relationship: the volume lifts to create an elevated entrance that becomes a true urban gateway, a symbolic connection between the Fiera district and the large park.
Standing 12 metres tall and spanning a total surface of 2,800 sqm, the Golden Goose Arena is defined by a sweeping 17-metre curved cantilever designed to naturally welcome and guide visitors. As a fully public facility, it was created to promote healthy, inclusive and accessible lifestyles, consolidating its role as a new sports and social hub within Milan’s largest urban park: 178,000 sqm of green space and over 2,000 trees.
Polycarbonate is used as the main cladding material, transforming the building into a contemporary lantern that lights up at night as a glowing focal point within the park. Sustainability is a key focus: radiant floor heating, high energy efficiency and a photovoltaic roof powering the facility with renewable energy in synergy with the surrounding energy network.
Inside, the Arena features nine padel courts—including six premium indoor courts in total black, an immersive Pro Court with tracking system and LED scoreboard, as well as two outdoor courts. Completing the functional programme are a Wellness Café, an elevated panoramic Lounge and a Store-elements that transform the Arena into a hub for well-being and social life, perfectly aligned with the values of the Golden Goose brand.
