HOMI, the trade fair dedicated to homeware in Fiera Milano, is back with a new edition from 16 to 19 September. The proposal will focus on complements and furnishing objects, home textiles and fabrics, fragrances, table and kitchen accessories, creating an important opportunity for all players in the sector to meet, where creativity and business opportunities come together. Alongside the novelties of Italian and foreign brands, visiting operators will have at their disposal an extensive calendar of workshops and training meetings and two new special areas, The Room of Ideas and the HOMI Coffee Experience.
LA STANZA DELLE IDEE (THE ROOM OF IDEAS) is designed to give space to new solutions: it is a place of excellence, a project that enhances innovative products that stand out for their ability to offer revolutionary solutions that are easy to apply. An area where you can discover new projects, objects and functional solutions by some of the exhibitors at the show.
With the aim of providing participants with an insight into the world of retail design at an international level, Homi collaborates with Platform in organising seminars that are now an unmissable event for HOMI visitors. In this edition, the theme will be “New Retail and Brand Valorization” and international studios will participate, presenting their retail projects, international case studies – from Copenhagen to London, from Shanghai to Madrid, from Paris to New York and Los Angeles.
The calendar of meetings dedicated to education will also include a series of talks realised in collaboration with the Foundation of the Order of Architects PCC of the Province of Milan, where important themes for retailers and architects will be explored.
Homi in this new edition also proposes HOMI COFFEE EXPERIENCE, a new event, realised in collaboration with ALTOGA – Associazione Nazionale Torrefattori, Importatori Di Caffè e Grossisti Alimentari (National Association of Coffee Roasters, Coffee Importers and Food Wholesalers) – and with the support of Aicaf, is designed to raise awareness among specialised retailers towards coffee and the new business opportunities it can create. The area will feature solutions and suggestions specifically designed for retailers, which will also involve products, ideas and novelties from the world of table and kitchenware.
Every day within HOMI Coffee Experience there will be tastings, in collaboration with companies in the coffee sector and expert coffee masters, but there will also be mini-master courses on a wide range of topics: from the method of preparing the moka coffee pot, to indications on how to use the most suitable cups, through to aperitifs and cocktails made with coffee.
