Elica, an Italian company with over 50 years of history in the production of kitchen extraction systems, presents itself with a new positioning, revolutionary products and a completely revised brand identity. On the occasion of Eurocucina 2024, the company has in fact chosen to develop an ambitious strategy to pursue a renewed mission: to play a leading role in the global cooking market. Following an investment of more than 40 million euros and work that lasted three years, the Fabriano-based Group, already a global leader in vacuum systems, decided to launch a new phase in its history completely focused on the development of R&D and marketing, aimed at achieving a true revolution in household appliances dedicated to cooking.
One of the concepts with which Elica accomplishes this revolution is YouChef, a transversal technology to the brand’s cooking appliance categories that can offer professional cooking at home. Thanks to its highly innovative and easy-to-use products, the company intends to give people the possibility of having professional tools typical of restaurant kitchens in their homes.
With Elica appliances, this result is assured thanks to the use of highly sophisticated technologies integrated in highly intuitive systems, making them within everyone’s reach.
The YouChef concept embraces many Elica products, including Lhov, the brand’s All-in-One that for the first time combines hob, extractor fan and oven in a single product that integrates perfectly into the linearity of the kitchen. This product represents a true innovation and was also awarded the prestigious Compasso D’Oro ADI award this year. Lhov presents a hob with five cooking zones, which are activated by themselves by detecting the presence of the pan, according to different functions and cooking modes, such as the melting function, to melt butter and chocolate without burning them, warming for slow cooking or to keep ready meals warm, simmering to simmer without annoying spillage of liquids. The cooking area can also accommodate large pots, thanks to the bridge function, which allows two adjacent cooking zones to be activated simultaneously. Added to this is the possibility of combined cooking with the oven and a powerful extraction system that captures fumes and vapours from both the hob and the oven.
The integrated oven in Lhov is a must-have for cooking enthusiasts: its large cavity (30% larger than a traditional oven), capable of holding several dishes at once, combines grill, traditional and steam cooking and, thanks to the food probe, makes it very easy to monitor food cooking.
A proposal that reduces the size without affecting the high performance is Virtus Combi Steam MW TFT, a 60×45 cm oven, with a colour TFT display and ultra-ergonomic that offers all the cooking modes you could want from an oven, to be activated alone or combined (Traditional/Steam, Traditional/Microwave, Steam/Microwave). To complete this there are grill functions, humidity control and a probe to check the internal cooking of food, guaranteeing tastier, lighter and healthier preparations.
Demonstrating Elica’s desire to position itself as a supplier capable of proposing innovative solutions for the entire cooking sector, the brand’s range is extended with the Veritas BI36, the dual-temperature wine cellar that can hold up to 36 bottles. It stands out for its large size, minimalist design and total black glass aesthetics, enhanced by a sober and elegant compact handle.
It is an appliance with a contemporary look that in its 60×72 cm allows the most important bottles to be stored and displayed. Inside, temperature, humidity and light are constantly under control, guaranteeing perfect wine preservation. Veritas BI36 is equipped with Bi-zone: a special divider allows the cellar to be divided into two separate zones, to store white and red wines at the same time.
The refrigeration system, adjustable between 5° and 20°C, maintains a constant temperature thanks to the integration of an advanced electronic and ventilation system. The wine cellar is extremely silent and is equipped with no-vibrations technology: the cooling system and the selection of materials such as oak for the internal sliding shelves limit vibrations as much as possible, preventing the wine composition from being altered.
