Duomo Luxury Apartments by Rosa Grand Milano

Andrea Auletta signs the Duomo Luxury Apartments by Rosa Grand Milano – exclusive flats and spectacular Penthouses overlooking the spires of the Duomo of Milan – opened at the beginning of September 2021 on the occasion of the special edition of the Salone del Mobile.
The location is in the heart of the city, between the Duomo and San Babila, a few steps from the pedestrian shopping area and overlooking one of the noblest squares in Milan, full of history and symbolism.

The 40 generously sized rooms with kitchen and living room and the 4 Penthouses – 3 of which are on the fifth floor and one on the sixth floor, the Penthouse Duplex Duomo View of 150 square metres – are true “dreamhouses”, intimate and elegant. Connected to the Rosa Grand Hotel with its 330 rooms, they offer guests a unique experience through the “serviced residence” formula, which allows them to freely modulate the length of their stay and the type of flat chosen, while making use of the hotel’s services, including restaurants, bar, wellness area, room service, housekeeping, laundry and meeting rooms. Other services can be customised on request, such as the possibility of having a chef for dinners and private events.
The flats have an elegant, dedicated Golden Lounge that guarantees direct and exclusive access for its guests and offers the possibility to check in and out in complete tranquillity and privacy and direct access to the lift.

The distinguishing feature of the residences are the large, spacious surfaces and the sense of luminosity that the rooms convey, also thanks to the presence of panoramic terraces with views of the Duomo spires. Organised by colour scheme, the rooms on the first and second floors are dominated by ivory, lobster and rust, while the rooms on the third to sixth floors are decorated in shades of grey.

Andrea Auletta’s careful choice of materials includes oak parquet floors and high-quality, long-lasting laminate furniture.
For the textiles, the prevailing choice was velvet, with curtains and upholstery for chairs and sofas that dress the rooms with soft chromatic and tactile nuances, and the use of leather for some of the seats.
Among the decorative elements that give the rooms a touch of original elegance, particularly striking are the photographs by Maurizio Galimberti and the golden stones, original ceramic sculptures by Francesco Faravelli.

The concept behind this formula, which offers the comfort of a home and the services of a large hotel, is broadened and enriched with the added value created by a warm and welcoming environment with a decidedly contemporary feel, where the softness of velvet is flanked by the warmth of gold and the overall effect is one of great elegance.
