Rimadesio presents Shapes of Light

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2024, Rimadesio presented Shapes of Light, the concept through which the company narrated and launched its new collection designed by Giuseppe Bavuso inside the Milan flagship store. Shapes of Light is a hymn to forms that define space and to surfaces that change in relation to light, giving rise to new perceptions.

Rimadesio with this reading key proposes the new collection that offers a set of coherent solutions in terms of style and design, confirming the themes that have always been at the centre of its research. Among the novelties, Air System is a particularly versatile system of fixed panels, room centre or wall-mounted, flanked by bi-directional swinging or hinged doors, which allows linear, corner or T-shaped compositions to be created.
Aliante is renewed in a brand new 4-door version designed for storing the most cherished objects, and in the smaller Altair storage variant, ideal for the interior of walk-in wardrobes. The rigorous and sophisticated aesthetics of the Rialto collection is confirmed in its new components: TV cabinet, coffee-table, console table, mirrors, six-drawer storage unit, writing desk and bedside tables. Each one interprets a specific function to offer and expand functionality in both the living and sleeping areas of the home.

Rimadesio also introduces important novelties in the range of materials and finishes, which are expanded by taiga glass, lepanto green and sierra beige marble, and as an absolute novelty, raffia, in viscose rayon and cotton, available in 5 colours. The Kanji, Miglio and Kita carpets represent an absolute novelty in the Rimadesio proposal. Designed by Juma, made from natural materials and handcrafted techniques, they contribute to emphasise the unique and refined character of the collection.

Shapes of light also gives its name to the new Rimadesio magazine, which collects the first photo shoot by Leonardo Pelucchi, in which the collection’s most recent novelties are represented in wide spaces, made abstract by a diffused luminosity in which a sophisticated female figure stands out.
