The New Together, the initiative that Platform Architecture and Design is organising at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia in Venice from 20 May to 30 July 2023, not only showcases the projects of 140 architecture studios from all over the world, but also sees the alternation of various collateral events in order to animate the prestigious location throughout the entire opening period with a dense programme of forums, conferences and lectures.
The first event hosted in the magnificent venue designed by Sansovino was “Jam Session between Architecture and Music“, an evening dedicated precisely to the commingling of these two arts.
The stage welcomed architect Giorgio Palù – Founder of the Arkpabi design studio – and Paolo Fresu – renowned musician and trumpet player. The guests dialogued with Luca Molinari, curator of the exhibition, Editorial Director of Platform and Scientific Director of the M9 Museum.
The evening ended with an exciting musical performance, during which Paolo Fresu and Teofil Milenkovic – a young violin virtuoso – delighted the numerous guests with a poetic musical Jam Session.
