Today, the office is no longer just a place to work, but a space to be fully experienced, designed to stimulate creativity, relationships and well-being. The workplace becomes a living environment, capable of welcoming, inspiring and adapting to the people who inhabit it, in a harmonious balance between functionality and comfort.
Offices, terraces and shared areas become spaces for innovation and culture, designed to encourage discussion and collaboration, fostering a sense of belonging and the exchange of ideas. Flexibility is now one of the fundamental pillars of design: layouts are transformed, furnishings become versatile, and ergonomics take on a central role. Adjustable furniture, integrated technologies and high-performance materials allow each individual to personalise their space, improving comfort and emotional well-being. In this scenario, furnishing solutions must be not only functional but also sustainable and easily reconfigurable to respond to the changing needs of contemporary work.
The Pedrali collections, entirely made in Italy, perfectly reflect this philosophy: design products that combine quality, comfort and adaptability, designed to create welcoming, efficient and constantly evolving spaces. Over time, Pedrali’s creations have helped define the look of numerous workplaces around the world, from Microsoft House in Milan to Google’s international campuses, to the headquarters of companies such as Samsung, Pfizer, Spotify, LinkedIn and LVMH, which have chosen the company’s furniture to make their spaces more comfortable and dynamic.
One of the most recent projects is L’Oréal’s new Italian headquarters in Milan, designed by DEGW – Lombardini22, where the concept of hospitality is reinterpreted through the idea of homefeeling: warm, bright spaces with attention to detail, designed to make everyone feel at home. Flexible workstations and open spaces encourage collaboration, while break areas, panoramic terraces and common areas such as the café and restaurant become places for socialising and relaxation. The interior design alternates materials and colours that reflect the brand’s identity, blending aesthetics, functionality and human warmth.
The Pedrali collections are in perfect harmony with these environments: the Nym chairs, also in the upholstered version, designed by Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo, the Babila stools by Odo Fioravanti, the Malmö armchairs by Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo and the Héra armchairs by Patrick Jouin, the Stylus and Arki-Table tables, as well as the Jazz and Folk stools, ideal for versatile and contemporary spaces. The lounge areas feature Blume chairs and tables by Sebastian Herkner, with their soft, refined lines, while the Ila and Héra armchairs by Patrick Jouin, combined with Malmö coffee tables, create intimate and comfortable living rooms.
Outdoor spaces are also playing an increasingly important role in workplace wellbeing: terraces and outdoor areas are becoming real places for meeting and concentration, where people can work or relax in harmony with the environment. On the terrace of L’Oréal’s headquarters, Patrick Jouin‘s Reva Twist sofas, characterised by a flat polypropylene rope weave, coexist with Busetti Garuti Redaelli‘s Buddy coffee tables, Dondoli and Pocci‘s Intrigo armchairs, Ikon tables by Pio & Tito Toso and Tribeca armchairs by Mandelli Pagliarulo, creating an outdoor living room that celebrates Italian design and conviviality.
In every project, Pedrali interprets the transformation of the world of work with sensitivity and expertise, creating spaces where aesthetics, comfort and innovation come together to restore value to the everyday experience of those who live in them.
