Agilité carried out the fit-out of the new headquarters of Scalapay, a leading company in the BNPL sector, located near the Scalo di Porta Romana area in Milan.
The offices are distributed over two floors inside the Nervesa 21 building, which has undergone a major redevelopment by DEGW of the Lombardini22 Group.
For Scalapay’s new offices, Agilité fulfilled the client’s request to create environments designed for people’s wellbeing and to adapt to the continuous evolution of work contexts, with a reduced environmental impact.
The project is spread over two floors of the Nervesa 21 building: the first floor has an area of 500 square metres; the second covers 1000 square metres.
On the first floor, the area has been organised to accommodate a reception area, common spaces and a multifunctional area available for everyone. This level includes a main entrance with reception, meeting rooms, a large open space with an adjacent equipped kitchen and a break area.
A distinctive element is the arena, a modular amphitheatre-like space made of wood, suitable for meetings, corporate events and staff socialisation.
The second floor, on the other hand, is mainly dedicated to operational activities, with open work areas that reflect the layout of the first floor and are flanked by both open and closed offices. Specific departments have been placed in more reserved spaces to guarantee the privacy of workers, while other activities are distributed in a vast open space, highlighting a workspace concept oriented towards flexibility and collaboration.
The redevelopment of Nervesa 21 included compliance with strict energy efficiency criteria for the entire complex, in order to obtain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and WELL Building certifications. In line with these standards, significant work was carried out in the design of the Scalapay offices in the electrical, mechanical and special installations. Particular care was taken to improve the interior spaces, in order to ensure the wellbeing of the workers who will frequent them. With regard to interior acoustic comfort, special attention was paid to the meeting rooms, in order to achieve quality reverberation and clear voice transmission and reception.
