Visions of the Future: the Exhibition continues until 28th January 2025

On 25th November 2024, the exhibition “Visions of the Future: Avant-Garde Architectures”, organised by Ceramica Sant’Agostino in collaboration with Platform Architecture and Design, opened at the Milan Living Surface Showroom.
The exhibition was born as a collateral event of the Milano Drawing Week, a widespread exhibition of modern and contemporary drawing realised by Collezione Ramo, which from 23rd November to 1st December 2024 saw a 13-stage itinerary dedicated to drawing, including contemporary artists and masters of the last century, wind its way through the city centre.

The exhibition organised in the spaces of Ceramica Sant’Agostino, curated by Simona Finessi, saw the participation of eleven authors belonging to some of the most important names in architecture on the Italian scene, who were asked to create a work on paper, capable of offering a reflection on the evolutionary potential of architecture, in response to global challenges and changing social and environmental needs.
The exhibition “Visions of the Future: Avant-Garde Architecture”, aiming to investigate the most experimental and visionary frontiers of contemporary architectural design, explores how the ideas of the great protagonists of the sector can shape our tomorrow.
The eleven protagonist authors are:

  • Alessia Maggio – AMAART
  • Laura Andreini – Archea Associati
  • Paolo Brambilla – Calvi Brambilla & Partners
  • Keith Pillow – DAAA Haus
  • Giuseppe Varsavia – De.Tales
  • Gaetano Auricchio – Il Prisma
  • Antonio Rodriguez – Matteo Thun & Partners
  • Caterina Betti – NOA
  • Filippo Pagliani – Park Associati
  • Monica Tricario – Piuarch
  • Massimo Roj – Progetto CMR

The exhibition was a great success, which is why the organisers decided to extend it until 28th January 2025.
Moreover, during the closing event, an auction of the works featured in the exhibition will be held, the proceeds of which will be donated entirely to the Fondazione Città della Speranza (City of Hope Foundation).
Città della Speranza, established in 1994 thanks to the will of Franco Masello, in addition to financing projects vetted by a scientific committee, has created the Città della Speranza Paediatric Research Institute, an institution of excellence at international level for the advanced diagnosis of paediatric tumours, which hosts over 220 researchers and dozens of research groups. Thanks to this constant contribution, the Paediatric Oncohaematology Clinic of the Hospital-University of Padua has become a national reference centre for the diagnosis of leukaemia, lymphoma and sarcomas, recognised by the Italian Association of Paediatric Haemato-Oncology (AIEOP).
Ceramica Sant’Agostino, which has been supporting the Foundation for years, will donate the entire proceeds of the auction to the City of Hope, so that “Visions of the Future” does not remain just a title.
