Solutions for environmentally friendly building at BAU 2023!

BAU, the world’s leading trade fair for Architecture, Systems and Material, returns April 17-22, in Munich and will address future trends in the world of construction. Companies will present future-oriented technologies and solutions in all 19 halls of the fairgrounds, which will also host a collateral program that will complement the exhibition offerings by focusing on practical applications, the theme of sustainability and information exchange with experts and decision makers.

The main topics at BAU 2023:
✓ The challenge of climate change
✓ Homes of the future
✓ Resources and recovery
✓ Digital transformation
✓ Prefabricated construction in modular series

Among the many topics discussed, a prominent role will be played by the issue of climate change: the summer of 2022 was characterized by extreme weather phenomena and record temperatures, with numerous damages to people and buildings. The building industry is being called upon to meet this challenge, on the one hand by thinking about solutions that make homes and cities resilient, and on the other hand that can contribute to the ecological transition in order to achieve the goal of climate neutrality by 2045. At BAU 2023, sustainable building solutions will be presented in all exhibition areas with insights and useful information within the forum areas.
BAU 2023 takes the ecological challenge head-on by creating the opportunity for the public to visit the fair in a climate neutral manner.

The fair offers the opportunity to zero the carbon footprint of visitors to the fair. For a modest surcharge that covers the average CO₂ consumption of the last BAU, you can help promote dedicated climate protection projects promoted by Messe München. The funds raised will be invested in two myclimate projects that meet the highest quality standards (Gold Standard, Plan Vivo) and, in addition to reducing house emissions, contribute to local and regional development.
