Lightweight, flexible, and constantly evolving, Scoiattolo was conceived to overcome the rigidity of traditional lighting systems and offer a new level of design freedom. A dynamic system that allows light to move through space in response to the needs of both architecture and people.
At the core of the project is an innovative four-pole cable that simultaneously serves as a structural support and power distribution element. An essential graphic line that traverses interiors, connects walls, traces pathways, and enables an endless variety of configurations from a single power source.
The luminaires, whether fixed or adjustable, can be attached and repositioned freely along the cable without interrupting its continuity. This solution makes it easy to modify the lighting layout over time, adapting it to the changing requirements of residential, contract, and architectural environments.
More than a technical system, Scoiattolo is a design tool. Its open structure allows new elements to be integrated, the lighting network to be expanded, and the relationship between light and space to be continuously redefined, providing a tangible response to the flexibility demanded by contemporary living.
The ability to control each individual light source through the DALI system further enhances customization, enabling precise management of both atmosphere and lighting performance.
With Scoiattolo, Martinelli Luce interprets light as a free presence, capable of flowing naturally through space, transforming a technical element into a dynamic, lightweight, and surprising design gesture.
