Rimadesio attests to the solidity of its brand with continuous and unstoppable growth, studded with record numbers for its history. In fact, the company closed the month of July 2022 with its highest ever turnover of € 9.1 million. Sales volumes in the first half of the year also recorded the best performance in the company’s history, exceeding EUR 42.6 million (16% more than in the same period of 2021 and 35% more than pre-Covid figures). In this scenario, the company, leader in the sector of room partitioning systems, emphasises the key role of its distribution network consisting of 64 single-brand stores and a select number of active dealers worldwide.
What made these results possible were both the resilience of the Italian market and the further consolidation of the export quota, especially in two high-potential areas such as the USA and China.
In the United States – where Rimadesio recorded 58% more sales than in the pre-Covid period – the New York flagship store was recently inaugurated. This is the third directly operated flagship store after those in Milan and London: the one in New York is a prestigious space located at 102 Madison Avenue, in the heart of the NoMad district, the new destination for international design. It is the company’s reference point in North America and offers a perfectly up-to-date collection, technical training courses and a consultancy and design service in the residential and contract sectors.
The exhibition concept plays on a sober and minimalist colour palette, in line with the identity that distinguishes all the single-brand stores in the world. With a total surface area of 600 square metres, the space is developed on two levels that are perfectly integrated with each other in order to create an airy and continuous environment, capable of communicating the brand’s qualities in the best possible way. In keeping with Rimadesio’s green spirit, the flagship store is equipped with an automated system for monitoring and managing energy consumption, with the aim of reducing its impact on the environment. Also located inside are the operating and management offices of Rimadesio USA Inc. led by CEO Andrea Romano and President Luigi Malberti.
Rimadesio New York is proposed as the company’s new reference point in North America: a complete space that accurately depicts all the architectural, interior design, and customisation possibilities typical of the collection.
In addition to the flagship store on Madison Avenue and the monobrand stores in Soho, Chicago and Houston, a new opening in Miami in collaboration with dealer Solesdi is planned for December 2022. The opening will be held in conjunction with Art Basel Miami (1-3 Dec 2022). The space is located in the heart of the Design District, a creative neighbourhood showcasing the best in design, art, high fashion and dining.
