Renowned Italian design house Pininfarina has received this year American Architecture Award for Torre Designo at Bosque Real. he team from Pininfarina of America, the Miami-based firm that developed the project, accepted the award during the Awards ceremony hosted by the Chicago Athenaeum in collaboration with the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The project involves an ultra-premium two-tower commercial building located within the 6 million-square-foot private “live-work-play” community of Bosque Real in Mexico City.
Working with architecture and interior design firm SPACE, the two towers see the space divided into multi-functional offices and a lower level for retail. Included in the project’s floor plan is a large green space both inside and out, intended to enhance the common areas for workers. Nature and modernity come together in the project in an organic way, blurring the lines with materials and shapes that tie in with the surrounding context, seeking to excite and engage residents living in the neighborhood.
Every square meter of space during the day takes advantage of natural light, which makes the view of the lush green landscape surrounding the community even more impressive. Designo Tower’s multi-functionality offers an all-around lifestyle of living, working and playing. Celebrating its 27th year, the American Architectural Awards® is the most prestigious national building awards program that celebrates and promotes cutting-edge design in the United States. As a winner, Torre Designo at Bosque Real will be featured in an exhibition at the Chicago Athenaeum dedicated to the award-winning projects.
