No Walls but Design is a charity auction whose objective is to stir up consciences, be creators of change and support those who work on the themes of inclusion and integration.
Prototypes, drawings, photographs – some unique pieces – donated to support the integration between foreigners and Italians carried out by the NoWalls association, will be offered at auction in collaboration with Christie’s next 13 September 2019 at Palazzo Clerici, in Milan.
At the auction, with the curatorship of the studio founded by the architect and contemporary architecture critic Luca Molinari, 34 pieces will be proposed by some of the most important Italian designers, architects and photographers, summoned to offer their work, in some cases made for the occasion.
“No Walls but Design is an initiative that perfectly highlights the features of contemporary Milan: solidarity, project, vision, quality and the future”, explains curator Luca Molinari, to whom we owe the idea of the auction. “The generous response of designers, architects and photographers of the highest level and of different generations who have donated unique pieces for the auction shows that there is still a desire to do politics through the irresistible force of beauty”.
Among the prominent signatures that have responded to the call of Luca Molinari Studio for NoWalls, there are Renzo Piano, Michele De Lucchi, Aldo Cibic, Formafantasma, Walter De Silva, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Giovanni Gastel, Ugo La Pietra, Delfino Sisto Legnani, Francesco Librizzi, Piero Lissoni, Fabio Novembre, Giulio Iacchetti, Franco Purini, Oliviero Toscani.
The NoWalls but Design auction is under the patronage of ADI (Association for Industrial Design) and will be defeated by Christie’s Italy director Cristiano De Lorenzo at Palazzo Clerici on Friday 13 September from 6.30pm. The editor and deejay of RTL 102.5 Valeria Benatti will work alongside the director of Christie’s Italia.
