Élitis opens the year by presenting a rich new collection of wall coverings that create unusual and cosy atmospheres, as well as accessories such as handmade cushions and carpets in new
colours and patterns. The French Maison loves to combine technical research and craftsmanship savoir faire, for original and unique creations that are refined in performance and design from year to year.
Among the new wallpapers, Élitis offers the Matieres Reflexions line: elaborate visual compositions celebrate the imperfect simplicity of traditional plaster. The collection designed by Callidus Guild, one of the bestknown decorative arts studios in the industry, is inspired by the beauty of ancestral construction methods, transforming functionality and practicality into a striking visual narrative. Each stroke recounts the mastery of ancient techniques, meticulously reproducing and perfecting the nuances found in traditional plaster application, testifying to meticulous craftsmanship.
Matieres Reflexions translates, like a visual record of movement, the artist’s gestures. The result is a composition made up of hundreds of thin plaster grooves with an almost playful and at the same time cartographic character. The collection is completed by a floral panorama: on this upholstery, 18th century floral motifs, originally found on the finest hand-woven silk, are enlarged and meticulously reproduced by hand, through various brushstrokes.
