With Random Cloud, Lodes revisits the chandelier concept in a contemporary key, composing a cloud of light, which is proposed as the evolution of Lodes’ Random Solo suspension.
Designer Chia-Ying Lee combines a central rosette with several glass elements that can be grouped together to create “clouds” composed of 7, 14, 19 or 23 elements, using cables cut to various lengths to create different sphere configurations.
“Random Cloud captures the essence of why a cloud continues to fascinate us: voluminous yet weightless and floating,” says the designer. “Being able to express these contradictory aspects with a very simple configuration is a joy for me.”
Random Cloud allows for a great variety of composition options, thus offering different decorative solutions that can be adapted to any context or style. It is possible to vary the composition of the spheres by quantity (7, 14, 19 or 23 elements), by size (23 or 28 cm diameter) and also by colour thanks to seven different finishes available. This great versatility makes the Random Cloud not only a highly functional and high-performance lighting object, but also an impressive decorative element that integrates well in an entrance hall, a living area, a meeting room, above a table and in many other contexts.
About this new lighting solution, Massimiliano Tosetto, Managing Director of Lodes, comments: “Random has been part of our collection since 2017. We are delighted to revisit this best-seller by creating an eye-catching chandelier that can serve as a stand-alone lamp that fits perfectly in hospitality environments as well as residential interiors, offering flexibility in terms of size and finish.”
