Presented as one of the brand’s most significant new launches, Onda stems from the encounter between Febal Casa’s industrial expertise and the design research of the studio founded by Zaha Hadid. The result is a furniture system that translates the energy of the sea’s movement into fluid surfaces, perceptual depth and a strong sculptural identity.
The inspiration is rooted in the Adriatic Riviera, the company’s homeland and a place where the sea leaves soft, layered marks on the sand, creating ripples that become an aesthetic language. This reference is transformed into a design element and finds expression in the collection’s doors, shaped by a subtle undulating rhythm capable of altering the perception of light and space.
At the heart of the collection is Onda Island, conceived as the focal point of the kitchen environment. An architectural volume that combines functionality and formal research through generous proportions, extensive customization options and an immediately recognizable presence. Its sculpted surfaces reflect and amplify light, transforming the furniture into a dynamic feature that changes throughout the day.
The same design language continues with the Onda Sideboard, where the undulating pattern of the surfaces helps define a refined balance between visual lightness and material richness. Here, movement becomes rhythm, while light acts as a compositional tool capable of enhancing the three-dimensional quality of the elements.
The collection also extends its language into the living area through the integration of the Onda door into Febal Casa’s living systems, including the Trenta bookcase.
