Not a simple marble-effect ceramic, nor a cement-effect one, but a collection that in ivory, crystal and chalk colours the veins of marble intertwine with the mottling of cement, creating a surface that seems to have been modelled by hand, with a worn and antiqued look. Retro Pure is the new collection presented by GCR to give full expression to the latest generation of industrial ceramics in a tribute to sculpture that comes to life through ivory, crystal and chalk contaminated by veins that evoke marble and the mottling of cement.
Retro Pure’s large format design enhances the material surface, giving it a three-dimensional appearance to the touch, which is enriched with reflections – sometimes more opaque, sometimes slightly shinier – depending on the refraction of light, while maintaining the handling and laying criteria adopted for the smaller formats.
The formats of Retro Pure are, moreover, modular on both the 80 cm and 60 and 120 cm sides to allow multi-size laying – also in combination with other collections of the Cerdisa Ricchetti Group – to obtain combinations and juxtapositions for an effect of greater architectural value without problems or additional costs for handling and laying.
Machining using state-of-the-art machinery controlled by expert technicians allows for the creation of extremely precise rectified edges, resulting in perfectly square corners for easier installation and minimal joints.
