Elinor Low Back by Pedrali

Elinor low back is the new version of the executive chair presented in 2018 by Claudio Bellini for Pedrali, which synthesises the different attitudes and ways of experiencing the office of the future. It is dynamic, flexible and attentive to people’s well-being.
Over the last few years, the office has been rethought to become a new space under the banner of transversality and hybridisation, far from the static nature of the traditional office. The boundaries between home and office are increasingly blurred and working environments have taken on different configurations: closed spaces have given way to open spaces where interactions are facilitated and the watchwords are fluidity and sharing. The new workspace is no longer just a working space, but a community space, within which interaction, sharing and collaboration can flourish.
As designer Claudio Bellini also states, “domestic environments are increasingly fluid. We do not only use them at the end of our working day: today, smartworking brings us into the home for entire days. This is why furniture must be increasingly flexible and functional, so as to create workspaces that can be easily customised and remodelled according to the needs of the moment”.
Elinor Low Back is a multitasking product characterised by a high level of aesthetic quality capable of responding to the needs of an ever-changing market.
Presented in Cologne at Orgatec 2022 and characterised by a lower backrest, the Elinor Low Back armchair adds a new element to the collection and is designed to be placed in meeting rooms, operative offices and homes. Its design is minimalist yet recognisable, guaranteeing optimum efficiency performance thanks to intelligent components that are at the forefront while still being out of sight, as they are integrated into the seat. Elinor low back has an elegant die-cast aluminium base characterised by a fluid shape and is height adjustable. A synchronised self-weighting mechanism integrated in the upholstered seat, which independently adjusts the intensity of the oscillation according to the user’s body weight, keeps the back in a more comfortable position. The strengths of the Elinor low back are the comfort and cosiness provided by the polyurethane foam padding of the seat and backrest. A light, thin and strong armrest in die-cast aluminium outlines the base of the backrest through a fluid and continuous line that expresses the attention to detail characteristic of this armchair.
