Opening on May 9, 2025, at AMT Studio in Rome, “Clara Domus” is the new solo exhibition by photographer Chiara Martinez. This intimate and poetic project explores the soul of the home, capturing its silences and the subtle traces left by time and by those who inhabit it.
With her signature delicacy and attentiveness, Martinez steps gently into each space she photographs, letting herself be guided by its sounds, light, and atmosphere. Her goal is not to document, but to evoke emotion—to capture that invisible presence that transforms every house into a unique universe.
The final outcome of Clara Domus goes beyond the printed image: each work becomes a unique, handcrafted object, created in collaboration with skilled artisans. Whether it’s a box of fine art prints, a hand-bound album, or a custom-made book, each piece is a refined keepsake of the home and all it represents.
Chiara Martinez, a Roman photographer, has built a strong and widely recognized career both in Italy and abroad. Since 2007, she has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows, including three solo exhibitions at the Rome International Photography Festival and a group show at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni.
She has received two honors from the National Geographic Awards, and in 2008 was named Amateur Photographer of the Week by the Sony World Photography Awards.
Martinez has also developed several photographic projects focused on childhood and disability, including her 2023 book La corsa allo spazio (The Race to Space), launched during Rome Art Week, and Wonderful Day (2024), an experimental work created using pinhole photography.
