At Milan Design Week 2025, in the heart of the Brera Design District, Ceramica Sant’Agostino unveils a completely renewed showroom designed once again by Calvi Brambilla & Partners. This new installation goes beyond traditional display, becoming an elegant and sophisticated “Milanese living room” where ceramics merge with design, materials, and atmosphere.
Drawing inspiration from the bourgeois identity of the classic Milanese salon, the space explores three main settings between dining and living. Here, Ceramica Sant’Agostino’s collections are seamlessly integrated with sculptural furnishings and decorative elements. Shapes recalling the 1980s radical design movement give life to objects that are both furniture and display: totemic tables, chairs, lamps, sofas, and armchairs in stoneware, all designed to enhance and narrate the collections.
“This time, we wanted to stage an interpretation of living that goes beyond mere display,” explains architect Fabio Calvi. “The showroom becomes a scenic environment where ceramic materials are used in unexpected ways, and the furniture becomes a storytelling device for the collections. Our aim was to create a space that is both an exhibition and a place to live — where every detail contributes to a convivial atmosphere.”
The result is a warm, immersive interior where finishes become protagonists. Decorative lighting elements, from luminous spheres to linear beams, interact with the ceramic totems, while overlapping carpets extend visually from the neutral-toned floors to soften and enrich the ambiance.
“Living to live, spaces to feel: Where materials meet lifestyle” is the concept underpinning this transformation — a manifesto that turns the showroom into more than just a product showcase. It becomes a cultural and design hub, a place for connection, inspiration, and dialogue between architecture, materials, and the contemporary art of living.
