The Boffi|DePadova Way of Living stems from the combination of details, practices and techniques that intertwine in a single coherent narrative, made up of design culture and a precise vision of contemporary living. The group expresses its identity through integrated interior living systems and furniture collections in which quality, consistency and research are essential values. Boffi, De Padova and ADL constitute three distinct architectural languages, capable of communicating with each other while maintaining their uniqueness, and giving shape to exclusive living spaces in which aesthetics, functionality and innovation coexist in balance.
At the heart of this integrated proposal is a design approach that starts from the initial concept and develops through high-end solutions designed to inspire and accompany people in their living choices. The group’s international presence, together with manufacturing know-how rooted in time, has fostered the growth of a company that combines advanced technology, materials research and a rigorous approach to technical development. In this process, customisation remains central: Boffi|DePadova’s production model is based on specialised units, a network of expert suppliers and technologies that allow each project to be transformed into a tailor-made product, an expression of different worlds working in synergy.
The group’s history dates back to 1934, when Piero Boffi founded the company as a high-quality carpentry workshop. The arrival of his sons Paolo, Pier Ugo and Dino marked a decisive turning point, leading to collaborations with architects and the creation of the first modern kitchens. Craftsmanship combined with visionary design gave rise to constant evolution, allowing the company to anticipate tastes and trends, establishing itself as a pioneer in contemporary home functionality and brand internationalisation. In the 1960s, the arrival of Luigi Massoni introduced the standardisation of prototypes and accelerated the modernisation of production processes. From that moment on, creative figures such as Sergio Asti, Joe Colombo, Antonio Citterio, Paolo Nava and Pepe Tanzi followed one another, protagonists of a fruitful period that paved the way for innovations destined to leave their mark on the sector.
In 1986, the arrival of Piero Lissoni brought new impetus: his ability to grasp the evolution of living was combined with the strategic vision of Roberto Gavazzi and Paolo Boffi, consolidating a recognisable corporate image and a product portfolio that became an international benchmark. Thanks to a history studded with awards and collaborations with leading designers, the brand extended its expertise from kitchens to architectural systems for the entire home, maintaining experimental research and innovation as its hallmarks.
ADL was founded in 2004, the brainchild of entrepreneur and designer Massimo Luca, who introduced a new concept of interior partitions through doors and separation systems capable of connecting rooms with fluidity and formal rigour. The skilful use of aluminium, glass and precious materials allows for the creation of highly customisable solutions, designed to build continuity and lightness in spaces. ADL’s entry into the Boffi|DePadova group in 2019 further consolidated the shared architectural approach, transforming the company into a centre of excellence in the production of partition systems with a strong technical content.
The journey is completed with the story of De Padova, a brand founded in 1956 by Maddalena De Padova, a pioneering figure who brought the influence of Scandinavian design to Italy and introduced a new way of experiencing modernity. With intuition and entrepreneurial spirit, De Padova created a furniture culture that combined formal lightness, refined materials and an international vision. The merger with Boffi in 2015 gave rise to a rich and multifaceted architectural dialogue, capable of combining complementary skills, aesthetics and design sensibilities.
Today, Boffi|DePadova represents a multifaceted horizon where tradition and innovation meet to define a new way of living. The strength of the group lies in its ability to create complete and coherent environments, where every element – from kitchens to partition systems, from furnishings to textures – contributes to the creation of an integrated living experience that looks to the future while maintaining solid roots in Italian design culture.
