Bencore is one of the leading European players in the production of composite panels for the world of architecture and design. It produces and markets materials, systems and products of high quality and aesthetic level, using patented technologies for the 100% Italian production of thermo-resin composite panels with honeycomb structure (‘honeycomb’).
Thanks to the quality and innovation of its solutions, Bencore is the ideal partner for architectural and design studios and general contractors, but not only because the company’s products are also increasingly chosen in different fields thanks to the company’s commitment to circular economy and sustainability issues.
During the last edition of the Surface Design Show, held from 6 to 8 February at the Business Design Centre in London, Bencore had the opportunity to present some of its new materials, an overview of which is given below:
ECOBEN WAVE GREEN CAST is a material composed of a recycled cardboard core and 100% recycled and recyclable green cast acrylic skins making it 100% sustainable. It is particularly suitable for applications in interior architecture where design and sustainability are of great value.
WASBOTTLE, born from the project developed with Autogrill, is a material protagonist of the current idea of circular economy: it is obtained from recycled and recyclable plastic flakes.
LIGHTBEN an ultra-lightweight composite material produced by combining a core of transparent polycarbonate cylinders with outer skins of polycarbonate, PETG or acrylic in various finishes and multiple colours. In addition to this, Lightben is also available in an acoustic version to significantly dampen noise pollution in the environments in which it is installed. Recently, this product has been awarded the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), which studies the potential environmental impacts throughout a product’s life, and the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), which comprehensively, verifiably, indisputably legitimises its degree of sustainability.
FLEK PURE from the American brand 3Form, is made from 100% recycled edging materials, returned material samples and other reclaimed materials. It makes a great visual impact, creating a well-defined and widely recognisable leitmotif in every application and design.
ALUSION is a stabilised aluminium foam produced by the Canadian brand Cymat Technologies obtained by injecting air into molten aluminium. Produced in continuous sheets or even in special formats, it is 100% recycled and recyclable. It is perfect for both indoor and outdoor applications and has Class A1 fire certification.
KAYNEMAILE was born on the film set of the Lord of the Rings trilogy where Kayne Horsham, founder of the brand, worked as art director for the ‘Creatures, Armour and Weapons’ department. It is a decorative mesh made from single chain polymers that can be 100% recycled and reused. It is perfect for both indoor and outdoor applications and also has a European Bs1 d0 fire rating.
Finally, Bencore is the exclusive distributor for Italy of PROCÉDÉS CHENEL, a French brand specialised in the production of decorative paper for interiors with a strong aesthetic impact. The peculiarity of these materials is that, in addition to being 100% recycled and recyclable, they have a Bs1 d0 European fire certification.
