Bencore, an increasingly innovative Product Offering

Bencore is one of the leading european players in the production of composite panels for the world of architecture and design. The Company produces and sells materials, systems and products of highly qualitative and aesthetic level, using patented technologies for the production of 100% Italian composite panels in thermo-resins with honeycomb structure. The unique characteristics of Bencore materials allow the Company itself to collaborate with architectures, designers and general contractor from all over the world so that to provide them with ever-innovative solutions.

The Company has also focused on providing a range of products that can respond to the needs of its customers, focusing not only on architecture and design of interiors, core business of the brand, but also on new forms of application in order to make their products attractive to an increasingly large audience. For this reason, the focus of the brand, in addition to issues related to sustainability, has also been oriented to the gradual introduction of more suitable materials from the point of view of their degree of reaction to fire.

With the term ‘reaction to fire’ is certified, in fact, the degree of participation to fire of the materials used in the field of interior and exterior design that is, in its turn, determined on a scale ranging from A to F, where A represents the maximum level of fireproof capacity.

Fire reaction certification is one of the core issues of every designer’s agenda. For this reason, technological evolution is increasingly going hand in hand with the development of a wide range of materials that can reduce the spread of flames in the event of fire.

In the field of design, in fact, these materials are increasingly sought after and, for this reason, Bencore equipped itself with many materials to meet the standards of level A and B certifications.

Among the materials that Bencore produces and distributed that are more efficient from the point of view of reaction to fire, there are:

  • Bencore Lightben: an ultralight composite material produced by coupling a core consisting of transparent polycarbonate cylinders to external skins of Polycarbonate, PETG or acrylic in various finishes and multiple colors. The acoustic version, in addition to being sound-absorbing, also holds the European certification B-s2, d0. Lightben is particularly suitable for avant-garde and minimal applications.
  • Bencore Hexaben: Ultra-light composite material with aluminum honeycomb core with medium-sized cells, coupled with acrylic coating skins. Its ‘large plus’ version holds the European certification B-s2, d0. Hexaben is highly valued in both structural and decorative projects.
  • 3Form Varia: it is a moldable resin which is highly used in interior design to create infinite combinations of color, texture and light, and it is produced by the American brand 3form and it is distributed exclusively in Europe by Bencore. In all its variants, it holds the European certification B-s1, d0.
  • Alusion by Cymat Technologies: it is a stabilized aluminum foam, 100% recycled, produced by injecting air into the aluminum when it is in a melting state. Bencore is Cymat Technologies exclusive distributor for Italy and many other European countries and the product, in all its variants, is classified with class A1, which is the highest achievable in the field of fire reaction that also make it particularly suitable for outdoor applications.
  • Kaynemaile: Bencore is its exclusive distributor for Europe and it is a net produced in self-extinguishing polycarbonate through a continuous injection process that generates a three-dimensional structure, without joints or seams, very resistant to any type of impact and with European fire certification B-s1, d0. Thanks to its incredible features, it can be used both indoors and outdoors.
