Ideal Standard, one of the leading manufacturers of bathroom solutions, created a temporary pop-up showroom in the historic Venice Arsenal for the entire month of April, until 4 May 2023, to host a series of exclusive events.
The exhibition, evocatively named Aesth|ethics, set out to tell the story of both the brand’s know-how in the field of ‘aesthetic’ design and the company’s ESG objectives and ethical achievements.
Ideal Standard presented the latest design collections to be launched in the coming months set in a unique and inspiring environment and shared its environmental, social and governance sustainability initiatives, recently published in its first annual report.
Commenting on Aesth|ethics and the new products, Roberto Palomba said: “In designing the new collections unveiled in Venice, we have maintained the company’s historic identity and important heritage, while creating new and exciting products designed for the contemporary bathroom. It is the combination of our design experience and manufacturing expertise that allows us to embark on this journey in a sustainable and innovative way. The Venice Arsenal was the ideal location, offering a spectacular backdrop to present our upcoming product lines with an all-Italian inspiration.”
Aesth|ethics also highlighted Ideal Standard’s commitment to creating a more sustainable, people-friendly future by acting in a systemic, conscious and productive manner, and illustrated the company’s desire to provide innovative, high-quality products that encourage sustainable living practices.
Speaking about the event, co-CEO Jan-Peter Tewes said: “Aesth|ethics was a great opportunity to highlight what we as a company have in store for the future. Ideal Standard has developed some ambitious goals, both from a sustainability and people perspective, which were outlined in our first sustainability report: the opportunity to delve into these goals and talk about how we want to achieve them was fantastic.”
“Whether it’s increasing diversity through an active recruitment campaign or installing photovoltaic panels at our Wittlich, Germany plant to switch to using 100 per cent renewable electricity, we are well on our way to a more sustainable future.”
