Vista Lago by Annalisa Carli Architetto

Overlooking the iconic landscape of Lake Como, Vista Lago is the project by Annalisa Carli that redefines a 310 sqm villa through a complete renovation, restoring a balance between architecture, interiors, and the surrounding natural context.

The project stems from a clear need: to optimize spatial distribution and enhance the visual relationship with the lake. The intervention works through subtraction and opening, reshaping the existing volumes without altering their identity, while significantly improving spatial quality.

On the upper floor, the demolition of the mezzanine leading to the attic restores a new dimension to the living area, now conceived as a double-height space. Here, natural light and verticality become central elements, amplified by a large panoramic window that frames the landscape like a constantly evolving painting.

Alongside this visual device, the sculptural fireplace clad in Camouflage marble stands out as the focal point of the space, establishing a balance between monumentality and domestic intimacy. The living area is further expanded by connecting the kitchen and lounge through the enlargement of the existing opening, creating a fluid and convivial environment.

The ground floor layout is also partially reconfigured: one of the guest bedrooms is enlarged by relocating the adjacent bathroom, improving both functionality and comfort. The intervention includes the complete renewal of systems, flooring, and bathrooms, accompanied by a comprehensive redesign of the interiors.

Material and finish selections contribute to a coherent and refined language. Natural oak parquet, laid in decorative square patterns in the living area and planks in the remaining spaces, interacts with resin surfaces in the bathrooms, creating a balance between warmth and contemporaneity. Neutral tones, ranging from beige to grey, enhance brightness, while scenic wallpapers introduce narrative and identity elements.

The interiors unfold through spaces defined by strong aesthetic coherence: the kitchen, featuring a canaletto walnut island and a soft color palette, opens toward the exterior, establishing visual continuity with the landscape; the living room becomes a contemplative space where soft furnishings and natural light engage with the view.

The bedrooms adopt a more intimate tone, with warm atmospheres and natural materials, while the bathrooms alternate between minimal solutions and more expressive interventions, combining continuous resin finishes with decorative surfaces.

The project is further distinguished by a careful selection of furniture and lighting: bespoke elements and brands such as Poltrona Frau, Riva 1920, and Artemide contribute to defining an elegant and contemporary environment, where every detail is designed to shape a complete living experience.
