PLANIT, a South Tyrolean company with over 25 years of experience in working with DuPont™ Corian®, presents Tube, a collection of washbasins born from the collaboration with designer Massimiliano Braconi. Available in freestanding pedestal and countertop versions, Tube is a project that fuses aesthetics, technique and organic spirit, as well as PLANIT’s craftsmanship and advanced production techniques.
‘Tube is the perfect synthesis of art and design,” says Massimiliano Braconi. The idea was born from the observation of nature and the desire to eliminate any rigidity in the shapes, resulting in an elegant and harmonious object.
Braconi’s design is inspired by nature and the fluidity of forms, with a creative process that starts with a hand sketch, then moves on to modelling with materials such as clay, metal or wood, and finally to digital realisation with 3D models and photorealistic renderings. The result is a harmonious, sculptural and perfectly functional object.
Made of DuPont™ Corian®, a versatile and resistant material, Tube also represents a technical challenge that Planit was able to overcome: the drainage system is integrated into the supporting column, maintaining visual cleanliness and structural solidity.
Customisable in matt or glossy finishes, the washbasin is offered in Glacier White, but can be adapted in any RAL shade, choosing from matt or glossy versions.
