Time Space Existence 2025: the new edition

The 2025 edition of Time Space Existence, organized by the European Cultural Centre (ECC), reaffirms Venice as an international platform dedicated to architecture, design, and contemporary research. The official report of the exhibition, held from 10 May to 23 November 2025, offers a detailed overview of an event that expanded its scope by showcasing 207 projects from 52 countries, responding to the key themes Repair, Regenerate, Reuse.

ECC Italy’s three historic venues – Palazzo Mora, Palazzo Bembo, and the Marinaressa Gardens – hosted more than 3,000 m² of indoor and 6,500 m² of outdoor installations, models, research, and artistic interventions, providing visitors with a multifaceted insight into contemporary architectural production. The exhibition recorded unprecedented numbers: 370,000 visitors, 20,000 more than in 2023, and over 150 in-person guided tours. Alongside the physical experience, virtual tours also saw significant engagement, with more than 10,760 visits, confirming the event’s international reach and accessibility.

The 2025 edition featured 71 events, including the first edition of the public program Weaving Dialogues, the sixth edition of the Shaping the City Forum, and the ECC Awards, which recognized outstanding works in architecture, design, university research, and artistic installations. The jury included prominent international figures such as Ivan Blasi (EUmies Awards), Amit Gupta (STIRworld), Christele Harrouk (ArchDaily), Ursula Schwitalla (DIVIA Awards), and Martha Thorne, curator and urbanist.

The 2025 edition also saw the presentation of the ECC Awards, which honored four projects distinguished by conceptual quality, innovation, and alignment with the themes Repair, Regenerate, Reuse. In the Architecture Project category, the award went to Plantation Futures by Celina Abba + Enrique Cavelier, an investigation into the relationship between landscape, memory, and regenerative processes. The Design Project recognition was given to the Polyhedral Structures Laboratory, celebrated for its technological experimentation and forward-looking construction models. In the Art Installation category, the winner was Tender Soul of Ocean by WHYIXD, an immersive work exploring the emotional dimension of the marine landscape through light and movement. As for the University Project category, the official report does not indicate a winner, suggesting that the category was not assigned or not publicly disclosed for this edition.
