On Turin’s first hill, the FD architect studio has realised a residential project that is colourful, sophisticated and, at the same time, very welcoming.
It is a recently built house, which the designers Francesca Diano and Giuliana Picca Garino have transformed into a set of hospitable and recognisable rooms, using colours, furnishings, lights, fabrics and woodwork, highlighting its peculiarities and hiding its defects.
The tones of green, drawn from the external window frames, and the warm tones of ochre and earth, in continuum with the wooden floor, find continuous references on the four floors of the house.
The colours play with contrasts and small variations: a new custom-made boiserie redefines the first floor landing, concealing a new walk-in wardrobe and introducing the sleeping area; dark accessories and furnishings become divertissements and spatial accents.
