The basins’ inner basin is reminiscent of the silhouette of dunes shaped by the wind. The soft contours and flowing passages offer generous space while being easy to clean. Thanks to the balanced relationship between basin size, tap edge and countertop, the Soleil by Starck washbasins prove perfect everyday companions. This is also helped by the slender outer rim, which acts as protection against water spilling. Washbasins in three sizes with corresponding half-pedestals, console washbasins and basins as well as an undermount basin are available. The range also includes a hand basin for guest bathrooms or very small rooms. In addition, Duravit has developed two furniture options for Soleil by Starck in different price ranges: D-Neo for a more casual look or XSquare for more elegance. The design sensibility is also evident in the Soleil by Starck WCs with their slim, slightly protruding lids, which close gently, without making a sound, thanks to the slow-closing mechanism.
Philippe Starck has masterfully transferred the soft shapes and outer rim of the washbasin into the design of the Soleil by Starck bowls. The collection also offers multiple options in terms of materials, with built-in bathtubs in acrylic and centre-mounted bathtubs in DuraSolid®.
For the built-in bathtubs with a contoured top for the head, there are several models for one person and one model with two sloping backrests, in the most common sizes, all of which are also available with an Air-System whirlpool system on request.
The 1600 mm oval central bathtub is a real highlight in this price range. Designed and manufactured in one piece, it saves space and still offers comfort inside. The velvety appearance and surface are impressive even in small bathrooms. Another advantage for the installer: the Soleil by Starck centrepiece bathtub comes completely pre-assembled, with feet and waste column; this makes ordering and installation quick and safe.
