The collaboration between Lualdi and architect Piero Lissoni continues, and together they present a new fully customisable partition system designed to meet the needs of architects and designers.
Skye is designed to be a highly flexible product that is not tied to rigid production batches and that adapts well to any use, thanks to the many possibilities for customization, with the use of glass in the most diverse finishes and thicknesses. Lualdi is recognised in the residential and contract sectors for its ability to dialogue with designers and end customers, interpreting their needs in a vertical product development process. The use of wood is a clear sustainable choice. The wood used for the product’s profiles is in fact a “carbon sequestrator” material, that is, it enables the process of capturing, fixing and storing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to be initiated, resulting in better air quality in the environment.
The collection designed by Piero Lissoni is therefore the perfect synthesis of the company’s two souls: the more traditional one, linked to woodworking and its origins as a craft joinery in the late 1800s, and the more contemporary and innovative one, which has marked the company’s transition to a design brand and determined its internationalisation process.
Skye is therefore the result of Lualdi’s fruitful collaboration with architect Lissoni, which over the years has led to the creation of products that have become iconic: from the L16 door, with which the company won the Compasso d’Oro in 2014, to the L7 or L41 collection, and the most recent Matrix, a three-dimensional finish that can be applied to any type of support, from doors to boiserie, and is characterised by sophisticated woodworking.
