Seven

The ANK studio of architecture has realised a residential project, with a tourist connotation, located along the most important commercial artery in Lido di Jesolo, Venice.
Essential volumes, research into materials and attention to the elements that define the open-air spaces, and the use of extroflexions through which to extend the residential and commercial functions, are the fundamental characteristics of the Seven project.

Considering the volumetric and contextual conditions, two different architectural solutions associated with height have been adopted: for the first floors, the more introverted solution, the loggia, while the terrace, interpreted as a true open-air living room, constitutes the exteriors of the top levels.

The basement that defines the first two commercial floors is also characterised by the façade cladding.
In this case, considering the need for a cladding suitable for the large flow of tourist pedestrians, a ventilated metal façade was adopted.
The vertical profiles marking the fronts are used on the upper floors as balustrade elements.

The compact volume of the north façade, punctuated by the windows of the rooms and services, leaves room for the large windows of the living areas facing south, towards the sea.
The terraces thus conceived are also exceptionally located to the north, on the top floors, to allow the view of the Venetian lagoon to be enjoyed.
Vegetation takes shape and designs the façades, as tall and medium-trunked plants are placed along the perimeters of the loggias and terraces, providing an additional introspective filter.
