Sette case sette storie

Sette case sette storie (Seven houses, seven stories), a monograph dedicated to architect Filippo Caprioglio tracing his last twenty years of activity, has been released in bookshops.
Published by Linea edizioni, the volume is edited by journalist Alessia Delisi with a preface by architecture critic Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi.

Structured as a book of interviews and accompanied by a rich iconographic apparatus, Sette case sette storie is an intimate account of what happens when designing a home. The voice of the architect, always accurate in explaining his choices, is echoed by that of the clients and other figures who enrich the narrative with new points of view.

From the very first time we talked about this project with the publisher, it was clear what we both wanted: not a classic architecture book where it is the project that speaks, but something different, something that tells of the dreams, the discussions, the twists and turns and the people you meet and who become part of the journey.
I really think that if there were no stories to tell there would not be these houses, each one different from the other and tailor-made for those who live and will live in them“, says architect Caprioglio.

Every house has a story to tell and in this book-interview Veneto architect Filippo Caprioglio retraces seven of them.
Covering a time span that goes from 2006 to imagining the near future, with two projects currently under construction, the book alternates Caprioglio’s design thinking with personal narratives. From the “Casin” of a historic Venetian palace to a “star” house dedicated to a little dreamer in Romania, from a contemporary castle in Cittadella to a luxury home in Veneto, Sette case sette storie unites the visible and invisible threads that guide the design of a home.
