On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2025, DAAA Haus, an architecture and design studio based in Malta, Milan, and Ragusa, presented the Selva Viva installation in the heart of the Durini Design District.
From April 7 to 12, Carbon, the studio’s Milanese headquarters, was transformed into a lush, hidden green space filled with thriving plants, natural elements, design objects, and coverings—all made from recycled materials.
The event embraced themes of sustainability, technology, and innovation, highlighting eco-friendly materials and smart furnishing solutions. In harmony with these themes, Selva Viva is not just an installation but an ecosystem in itself, designed to remind visitors that nature is essential not only for its beauty but also for the well-being of all. It offers an immersive experience into lush greenery, with filtered light and organic scents, allowing visitors to appreciate the silent power of nature.
Among the various projects created in collaboration with a series of partner companies, DAAA Haus showcased the BLOOM outdoor lamp, born from its first collaboration with Contardi Lighting, an Italian brand known for its refined and visually impactful lighting designs; or the TRAME rugs, inspired by hillside agricultural landscapes and designed by Keith Pillow, the studio’s Creative Director, for Cardex Milano, an interior contracting company, and produced by Jaipur Rugs, an Indian company specializing in high-quality carpets. Additionally, the HERA collection, developed with Palladio Concepts, features modular, stackable elements that can also be used individually as side tables or seating; STONECUTZ by DAAA for Halmann, a collection of home objects—from candleholders and bookends to trays—created using marble scraps and fragments of various shapes and colors.
Paying attention to the sense of smell, DAAA Haus introduced 1983 Mediterranean Summer, a candle infused with citrus notes, cinnamon, and beach-inspired scents—a romantic nostalgic story of sunny days by the sea in 1983.
For the green setting, the studio collaborated with ILA, an Italian company with over 30 years of experience in interior landscaping, specializing in the combination of 100% natural, recycled, hand-treated, and shaped trunks, as well as high-quality artificial foliage.
