ROMAR is a movement born from the desire to bring architecture back to the center of social, political, and cultural change. Ahead of the upcoming elections for the renewal of the Order of Architects of Rome and its Province, ROMAR launches a public call addressed to young professionals under 35, with the goal of gathering concrete proposals on how to redefine the role and functioning of the professional association.
The call is open to those already registered or about to qualify, inviting them to reflect — and speak out — on what is truly needed by those entering the profession today. What kind of practical support can the Order provide in the early stages of a career? What educational tools or training would be genuinely useful? What economic or organizational incentives could help foster professional practice in today’s competitive market? And more broadly: what topics, languages, and alliances should the Order promote to better represent the younger generation in public debate, competitions, and the broader professional landscape?
Submissions — whether texts, bullet points, videos, drawings, or diagrams, as long as they are clear, concrete, and to the point — must be sent by July 13, 2025, to the email address info@romar.blog. The most relevant proposals will be presented and discussed in a public event on July 22, involving young architects, experienced professionals, and members of the ROMAR group. This open dialogue will lead to the formation of a permanent working group, which will evolve in the fall into an autonomous and active Youth Commission within the Order.
This is not a mere consultation but a concrete action to rewrite the rules of representation and collectively build the Order of tomorrow. ROMAR calls on those with vision, urgency, and a desire to make a difference to seize this opportunity to reclaim architecture’s central role in shaping society.
