REbuild, Italy’s leading event dedicated to innovation in the Real Estate sector, returns to the Congress Centre of Riva del Garda (TN) on 6 and 7 May 2025 with a packed programme of events involving over 80 international speakers and opinion leaders from the design, construction, finance and service sectors.
On the programme are 16 conferences and 4 workshops, all inspired by the theme ‘Connect minds, enable innovation’, with the aim of fostering connection, sharing and exchange between people, technologies and skills, to build a future in which innovation is at the service of sustainability and living wellbeing. At the end of the proceedings, the Manifesto for the Future of Construction, a strategic vision document to guide the evolution of the sector, will be presented.
The result of an open discussion among the participants in the workshops – structured according to the principles of design thinking – and of the main evidence that emerged during the meetings, the Manifesto will be a veritable ‘toolbox’ of indications, experiences, knowledge and analyses, available to the real estate community, institutions and politicians.
‘Once again,’ says Roberto Pellegrini, President of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, ’Riva del Garda confirms itself as a crossroads of change for the building world. Technologies, materials, techniques and know-how on the one hand, needs and expectations on the other: REbuild represents the ideal place to make the best synthesis between innovation and sustainability, also through new perspectives and approaches’.
In a context of profound transformation of the building sector, REbuild 2025 aims to outline innovative scenarios in which technology is ethically integrated with the human component according to an approach that does not overturn existing cultural models, but rather strengthens their ability to adapt and develop.
The key themes – ESG, Construction, Materials, Energy and Digital – will be the starting points for the debates, enriched by case studies, testimonials, innovative strategies and insights. All the debates will aim to bring to light new and diversified perspectives that will converge towards a vision capable of uniting economic valorisation, decarbonisation of real estate assets and widespread housing and social well-being.
‘REbuild has always been a platform for thought, dialogue and action,’ stresses Alessandra Albarelli, General Manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi ‘Our goal is to offer the community concrete tools to build the future of construction, while maintaining the values of sustainability and innovation. Our commitment is to encourage the widespread diffusion of new technologies also in the Real Estate sector, connecting people and intelligence to achieve a greener tomorrow’.
At REbuild, innovation is the means, sustainability is the end: a principle fully in line with the expectations of the sector, as confirmed by the recent research of the REbuild Observatory, carried out by the Department of Project Cultures of the Iuav University of Venice under the guidance of Prof. Ezio Micelli.
According to the study, more than 80% of operators consider compliance with ESG criteria fundamental to future strategies, moving towards cutting-edge technologies, new professionalism, innovative partnerships and co-creation of sustainable solutions.
‘The centrality of ESG criteria,’ explains Ezio Micelli, Chairman of REbuild’s Scientific Committee, ’is profoundly transforming real estate companies, where sustainability and innovation become strategic pillars for development, investment and competitiveness’.
At the heart of the event will also be a selection of start-ups, protagonists of innovation applied to the real estate sector: digital and AI technologies for optimising furnishings and resources, IoT adaptive lighting systems for wellness and energy efficiency, B2B SaaS platforms for supplier management, AI assistants for centralising data in building projects.
The workshops scheduled for 6 May will explore the industrialisation of building processes, aimed at faster, cheaper and more sustainable redevelopment, and the integration of ESG criteria in real estate, through investment strategies and responsible supply chain management.
Those on 7 May will focus on the democratisation of digital innovation in the construction supply chain and integrated approaches to the decarbonisation of buildings, supported by renewable energy and sustainable finance.
REbuild 2025 and the Manifesto for the Future of Building, a document that will take shape from the contributions collected during the conferences and workshops, will identify and outline principles and actions to guide the Real Estate sector towards a more responsible, efficient, inclusive and resilient model, capable of responding to the climate, social and economic challenges of the coming years.
