“Values drives Value“: value generates value. With an emblematic title that refers to the concept of how only by bringing economic, social and governance values into play is it possible to generate new value, the tenth edition of REbuild, the event that reflects on how to innovate in the construction sector, returns on 14th and 15th May at Riva del Garda.
The solid value framework put into play by the event in Riva del Garda is enriched by an exclusive research just published for the REbuild Observatory by the Department of Project Cultures of the Iuav University of Venice led by Prof. Ezio Micelli, president of the event’s Scientific Committee: real estate requalification is rewarded by the market, but with strong inhomogeneities that penalise small and medium-sized cities much more.
Requalifying the existing building stock means investing in the maintenance of an asset, which if well renovated can generate new economic value and a better quality of life.
Process industrialisation and deep-retrofit, decarbonisation, ESG and housing health and wellbeing as new drivers to push on. But also practical examples on the changes that digitalisation and AI are imprinting, with impressive speed, on the design, construction and market transformation processes; a reflection on the knowledge of materials and recycling; Proptech advancing changing the rules of Real Estate along the entire supply chain.
These are the topics at the centre of the 16 conferences and 8 workshops scheduled, which will be attended by some sixty guests and speakers of international level.
The closing conference will feature Walter Cugno, Vice-President, Exploration & Science at Thales Alenia, who will develop a reflection on living and dwelling in space, an environment that does not allow waste of any kind and that makes the most of available resources thanks to technologies that in the future will be able to be integrated into buildings on Earth.
“REbuild ,” says Roberto Pellegrini, President of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, “is the place to be for the players in the construction, design, production, innovation, material and immaterial services of the real estate world. The appointment at Riva del Garda is a fundamental moment to draw a map of essential importance for the entire country-system. We must be a community that decides to act to create sustainable, shared and widespread wellbeing“.
“The value call of the tenth edition of REbuild takes on the connotations of a ‘call to action’ so that all the players in the real estate sector – professionals, companies, research centres, associations, politics and institutions – find a convergence on strategies, processes and shared objectives of healthiness, safety and efficiency of the built environment throughout the country, avoiding incentive policies lacking in requirements of quality and individual, collective and environmental wellbeing, and avoiding the excellence of isolated cases and territorial inhomogeneity,” says Alessandra Albarelli, general manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi.
