A ventilated façade is a dry-mounted cladding system bound to the building through mechanical suspension and anchoring elements. This system requires the creation of an appropriately sized cavity where to insert a thermal insulation panel in contact with the building wall and a chamber for upward air circulation (stack effect).
A ventilated façade protects the building against weather agents and pollutants. It also ensures thermal and sound insulation. A ventilated façade protects the wall structure, ensures energy saving, eliminates thermal bridges and surface condensation, improves aesthetics, and maintains the aesthetic and technical features over time. All these reasons make it one of the most effective cladding systems.
Casalgrande Padana’s wide range of ceramic tiles, available in various size, colours, and textures, is suitable for both exposed and concealed mechanical anchoring. This, together with the larger tiles, allows designers to create large vertical, sloping, or curved surfaces that express their architectural ideas.
Ventilated façades can be applied to public buildings, shopping and business centres, industrial complexes, and residential buildings. A ventilated façade with Casalgrande Padana porcelain stoneware tiles also ensures affordable and aesthetically pleasing results in both new and restored buildings.
