Palazzo Raggi is an architectural jewel set in the historic centre of Rome, which has been reborn to new life thanks to the skilful restoration and conservation work, shared with Rome’s Special Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape Superintendency, by the Tamburini and d.L. Engineering architectural studios of Rome, in which an excellent interior design project followed by Scandurra Studio Architettura of Milan is included.
The promoter of the initiative is Green Stone, Italy’s first multi-compartment self-managed real estate SICAF specialising in residential developments, with an investment of over 40 million euro.
In the redevelopment project, the Palazzo is restored to its original residential function, after a mixed use of offices and homes, with the exception of the ground floor, which was destined, as was usually the case in similar buildings in the past, for commercial activities.
The fulcrum of the intervention, while respecting the historical configuration of the building, is the enhancement of Palazzo Raggi’s strong points; in fact, all the valuable architectural elements have been preserved, such as the monumental staircase and the wooden coffered ceilings, which have been kept in view.
The entrance from Via del Gambero leads to the hallway, paved in classic Roman cobblestones, which overlooks an elegant courtyard with green spaces, and then to the welcome hall. The main staircase leads to the upper floors and flats, in which the charm of the 18th-century era is enhanced by the contemporary lines of the interior layout and furnishings.
The cuts of the living solutions are unique, different from each other, designed to offer the right balance between comfort and use of space; each residence is finished with fine materials and equipped with a home automation system that allows many functions of the house to be managed and controlled remotely.
The flats on the top floors also enjoy large terraces: true secret gardens that offer a unique perspective on the city’s most evocative views.
