Novacolor’s Tessuto Liquido collection in Bestiario

Novacolor with Tessuto Liquido, its new collection inspired by the most precious fabrics, participates in the realisation of Bestiario, a large urban art installation signed by the eclectic artist Angelo Cruciani, designed to make people rediscover the unique, complex and inseparable relationship between man, nature and animals. The installation was inaugurated on 10 July in Via dei Mercanti, right in the centre of Milan, and will remain open to the city until 26 August. The event is dedicated to the sacredness of life and urges a new vision of the animal world to seek new rules of coexistence on Planet Earth
The initiative is sponsored by the WWF and the City of Milan, which has included it in the ‘Milano è viva’ summer programme. Novacolor, which has always been close to environmental protection issues, supports the initiative by providing the colours of the new Tessuto Liquido collection which, with its golden effects, perfectly reproduces the haloes that characterise the animals in Bestiario. The collection also fits perfectly with the values of the initiative because it represents a true technological and aesthetic innovation thanks to its ‘green’ formulation based on biomass from food waste, a process certified by RedCert2.

On the occasion of the launch of the ‘Tessuto Liquido’ collection, which brings together a careful selection of luminous finishes inspired by the most precious fabrics,’ says Roberta Vecci, Marketing Director of San Marco Group, ’Novacolor, a brand of San Marco Group, is happy to participate in the creation of Bestiario, a large urban art installation. A gift to the city of Milan, an ideal stage for raising awareness of environmental issues. We are participating in the Bestiario project not only because of the sensitive theme, but also because environmental sustainability and support for art have always been fundamental missions for our group’.

Tessuto Liquido by Novacolor offers precious metallic accents, seductive plays of light alternate with tactile effects reminiscent of precious silks. These are decorative finishes that find their roots in one of Italy’s many excellences, the art of manufacturing, made of hand-woven brocades and precious fabrics.

The inauguration on 10 July was also an opportunity to recall the Seveso disaster that in 1976 profoundly marked the conscience of Italians, prompting Italian and international authorities to strengthen regulations on the safety of chemical plants and to promote research into the prevention and management of environmental risks. For the occasion, thousands of butterflies have been released to remember the 3300 animals that died and the 76,000 that were slaughtered at the disaster.

Bestiario is intended to be a tale of an enchanted world and emphasises the immense wealth represented by the presence of animals and nature on the planet. A visual game, which, thanks to the luminous notes created with Tessuto Liquido, expresses profound meanings by juxtaposing the animals portrayed with sacred iconography and the light of the vital spark that is in every form of life.
