Agilité – a pan-European company specialised in the development of fit-out projects in the office, retail and hospitality sectors – has been chosen by the New York-based multinational Tapestry – owner of three haute couture brands – for the management of all fit-out activities for the new Stuart Weitzman showroom, recently opened in Piazza San Babila in Milan. Agilité took care of the fit-out services with interventions aimed at changing the spaces according to the brand’s guidelines.
The large showroom extends on the third floor for about 650 square metres and is presented as a voluminous, single open space with the sole exception of a limited area, about 150 square metres, where Agilité has created new private rooms for the exclusive use of the staff. In this area, new spaces composed of several offices, a meeting room and a kitchenette have been delimited thanks to the construction of plasterboard walls and the creation of windows.
The rest of the area, approximately 500 square metres, is used for the display of the iconic Stuart Weitzman shoes. The surface of this area has been entirely embellished with natural Herringtone wood flooring, as in the New York showroom. The herringbone parquet floor is the hallmark of the Stuart Weitzman showroom layout, which follows the latest luxury trends that see craftsmanship take centre stage and aesthetic importance.
The shapes and colours of the interiors also create a simple and refined ambience, where the luminous paint on the walls is in chromatic harmony with the furnishings. The furniture is predominantly minimalist in character, but in some places very elegant, represented for example by the gold-coloured brass displays.
