New design systems for bathroom architecture: Voile and Domino by Vismaravetro

More than one hundred years have passed since Giuseppe Vismara started his business in Mariano Comense in 1907 as a representative of glass, crystal and mirrors. Today the company is among the international leaders in the production of tempered glass shower enclosures and wall systems for the wellness space, solutions designed and entirely manufactured in the Giussano and Verano Brianza production facilities. Since 1947, the year the company was founded, many things have changed: in society, in living and of course also within the company itself.
Generations have succeeded one another, houses are being built according to new criteria and the bathroom environment has taken on an increasingly central role, becoming a comfortable and well-kept space. Vismaravetro has also followed this evolution, transforming and evolving with its products and vision. With the arrival of the third generation of the Vismara family, new ideas and renewed enthusiasm have entered the company, elements that are now reflected in a solid and dynamic structure, capable of facing every challenge with seriousness and consistency.

Craftsmanship and industrialisation, technology and research, design and communication: every aspect of the company’s activity is guided by concrete strategies and an increasingly refined productive specialisation. The aim is to design, manufacture and offer shower enclosures conceived as authentic furnishing elements, characterised by the highest technical quality and aesthetic value. Every day the company invests energy and resources in new paths, with a constant focus on seizing every opportunity for growth.
An expression of this contemporary vision of the bathroom environment, to be rethought as a fluid, sophisticated and contemporary space, is Voile. One of the most recent solutions developed by Vismaravetro, Voile is an architectural partition that makes it possible to create a ‘bathroom within a bathroom’: a volume defined by a glass door that slides lightly and silently, separating the shower area from the part dedicated to sanitary ware or the washbasin, offering new design possibilities and guaranteeing comfort, privacy and compositional freedom.

The system is based on a frame that divides the dry area from the wet area; the door, moving along its track, can alternately close one or the other area. The performance in terms of watertightness is excellent, thanks to technologically advanced seals, and the possible configurations are manifold. Available in various types of glass, both transparent and opaque, Voile is a demonstration of how a minimalist element can become the visual centrepiece of a room, with a whispered yet decisive elegance.
The company’s ability to combine formal rigour, functionality and modularity can also be found in Domino, new for 2025, which represents a compact and essential system designed to simplify the complexity of design without sacrificing the quality and architectural vision that have always characterised the company. With just four basic elements – two doors, swinging and swinging, and two fixed panels – Domino allows an infinite number of configurations, offering the designer a flexible, intelligent and refined tool to define the bathroom space with extreme freedom.

Hinged doors can open inwards or outwards, while pivot doors, thanks to an off-centre pivot, provide a wider passage, ideal even in large configurations. The system can be installed on the ceiling using a dedicated profile or in free-standing mode, with free height, to visually lighten the structure and reinforce its contemporary character.
Domino is available in a wide range of glass and aluminium profile finishes. It is an essential and versatile proposal, capable of combining technology and beauty with naturalness, while maintaining a discreet yet authoritative presence in the space. The name is not new: in fact, a shower enclosure launched by Vismaravetro in 1994 was also called Domino. Today, thirty years later, the name returns, not to evoke an aesthetic from the past, but to reaffirm a design principle that continues to guide the company: a few elements, multiple combinations. A vision that evolves, without losing sight of its roots.
