NANO 3 is an invisible molecular treatment specifically designed for 22 to 24 carat gold surfaces. Through the use of intelligent biopolymers, it forms an extremely thin conductive layer – only a few nanometres thick – that bonds perfectly to the surface without altering its colour, texture or shine. The result is effective protection against wear, oxidation and micro-scratches, without the use of heavy metal particles or ions, in line with IB’s long-standing commitment and philosophy towards sustainable, safe and high-performance materials.
NANO 3 protection is combined with a highly specialised production process: IB taps, made of the highest quality brass, are tick-coated with electrolytic deposition. They are given a real gold finish, with a density of at least 7.17 g/cm³ and a hardness of between 230 and 250 mhv20, which guarantees high mechanical strength and superior durability. Finally, NANO 3 technology is applied to this surface, which further enhances its performance, maintaining homogeneous shades on all surfaces, except for the brushed versions, where slight colour variations enhance the authentic characteristics of the material.
One of the great strengths of this technology lies in IB’s ability to manufacture it completely in-house. Every stage – from brass machining to final finishing – is carried out in the company’s 9,000 m² factory in Sarezzo, in the heart of the Val Trompia, where the products are processed with rigour and expertise, in compliance with the strictest international standards.
